In October 2004, I had a 5 week old foal at stud, that developed severe stomach ulcers, for no apparent reason. He was treated with a ten day medication. Two months later the symptoms reappeared, this time I commenced him on stomach drops and within a couple of days, there was notable improvement and the problem was resolved. He is now 14 months old and had not had any further problems.
